TRS Bay Leaves (Tej patta) are from the cassia tree and have a different, more earthy flavor than European bay leaves. They are used extensively in South Asian biryanis, pulaos, and meat curries. They are one of the "garam masala" whole spices.
How to use:
Add 2-3 leaves to 4 cups of rice while boiling, or to any meat curry at the start of cooking. Remove before serving.
