TRS Tapioca Sabudana (Sago) are small, starchy pearls made from tapioca root. They are a key ingredient in sabudana khichdi (a savory, peanut-studded dish) and sabudana kheer (sweet pudding). They are often eaten during religious fasting (vrat) in India because they are energy-dense but not considered a grain.
How to use:
Soak 1 cup sabudana in water for 4-6 hours until soft and translucent. For khichdi, fry soaked sabudana with peanuts, cumin, and potatoes.
